oh yeah M1277 just gets factored on a random Tuesday
Personally I'm mildly skeptical that there's a prime that's been missed between M82589933 and M136279841, but consensus seems to be that it's pretty unlikely. If there is we know the exponent isn't in the 82 millions, nor is it in the 116-136 millions, and there are only two exponents left to be double checked in the 112-115 millions, meaning all the effort left to prove it will be on the 83-111 millions. (All exponents below M136279841 have been checked at least once (and in fact we're in the 146 millions now), but they need to be double checked to be really sure)
The only remaining unconfirmed-position prime left is M136279841. It could technically be anywhere from the 52nd to the 266697th, there's no way to know until the double-checking's all done.

According to the "Est Complete" section of the table, it should complete today. Either way, it's on its last two percent, so whatever the case, M82589933's status as either the 51st or 52nd Mersenne prime (but the latter case is unlikely).
Kriesel has finished M81648221, the final exponent to be tested is M81821569, which will be done by Greg
ooh apparently we're at the last two un-double-checked exponents below M82589933, and they'll be done in a few days, so we'll officially know if M82589933 is the 51st Mersenne prime or if there's secretly another one just below it soon
actually no I was right to question everyone else's existence
#nightymorning August 25->26
why'd I write the "do any of you even exist" comment what exactly did I think I was gonna accomplish with that
