Hello, Darfriends! 😊

I am here with another update of my mayoral campaign! One of the main aspects of my campaign focuses on increasing customizability of Darflen, by adding new themes. I would like to share to you 4 new themes which I have worked with professional Darflen theme designer, JamieD132 (@acheese), to design and write the css for, to help make Darflen a more enjoyable experience for all! Remember that these themes will only be available if I win the mayoral elections, as I will provide paradock with the css once I win. NOTE that even if paradock does not add these themes I will still release a userscript + custom css so anyone can use them anyway! That means, if you vote toby tumbleweed there will be a 100% chance you can use these themes!!

Theme 1 - High Contrast Daylight Theme

I have noticed a few users requesting high contrast themes, and I believe an option for this needs to exist, to improve accessibility across Darflen. This theme can make it easier to access and navigate the website with a visual impairment. Theme preview: View on explore page View on community page

Theme 2 - Darf Theme

This theme I have noticed has been requested many times, however never actually added, so I have designed a version that will make it easier for paradock to implement, so we can all enjoy the colours of Darf sitewide. Theme preview: View on explore page View on community page

Theme 3 - Darlenne Theme

This is a slightly modified version of the Darf theme to improve contrast across the site. Although it does not use Darflen's brand colours, it uses the main colour of Darflen's newest mascot, Darlenne! Theme preview: View on explore page View on community page

Theme 4 - Tumbleweed Theme

The purpose of this theme is to increase Darflen's accessibility towards tumbleweeds and similar organisms. With toned down, contrasting colours, this theme is easier on the eye than Darflen's standard black and white themes. Theme preview: View on explore page View on community page

Greetings, Darfriends 😄

It has now been a week since I posted my mayoral campaign, and now with 10 days until the elections I would just like to clarify a few things!

Firstly, many of you have been questioning who I am, so I will give you a bit of background. I have had almost 10 years of experience being a mayor now, after being consistently voted as the best tumbleweed of tumbletown. Having been living in tumbletown my entire life, I am much respected amongst other tumbleweeds as well the other native fauna, which includes camels, wild horses and sometimes humans. Tumbletown is definitely the place to be if you are a tumbleweed, having all the necessities and more! At the mere age of 6, I was enrolled into Tumbletown's elementary school, which, by the way, is considered to be the best tumbleweed inclusive school in the northern hemisphere, in which I excelled at all core subjects, including mathematics and english. After graduating high school at age 18, I then went on to pursue my dream career or Tumbletown's mayor. Having made a lot of friends throughout school, it was easy enough to win the election that year. After realising what a good mayor I am, Tumbletown then went on to vote me every year since, allowing me to become the great mayor I am today!

Now that you know a bit more about me, I will move on to talk about my campaign.

One of the main focuses of my campaign, which you can view here, is to increase the customizability of Darflen, allowing for new themes as well as other features such as customizable fonts. You may be wondering just how I plan on implementing this, as the Darflen mayor role does not actually give you any more permissions. Firstly, I will directly contact Paradock and ask to implement these features, which he will be more likely to listen to as I am the mayor, but more importantly I will do all the hard work for him. Past attempts to introduce new themes to Darflen have failed, likely because Paradock just cannot be bothered. However, I will design all the themes and write the css code for Paradock, while also giving him previews of each theme, so all he has to do is copy it into Darflen's code! The good news is, even if Paradock never implements these features, I will write a userscript which will allow any Darflen user to use them! Stay tuned for previews of these themes and features within the next week!

I am Toby Tumbleweed! I come from an extensive family of tumbleweeds, and have recently stumbled across this website! 😊 I have had a lot of experience with being a mayor in the past, as I was actually the mayor of my previous town, TumbleTown! 😁

Why vote Toby Tumbleweed for Darflen Mayor 2026?

Over the past few days, I have been examining you darfriends, and I have noticed Darflen could do with a lot of work. Vote for me and I will try turn this place into the Darflen you all hope for! 🐟 ✅ Firstly, I have noticed the severe lack of themes and customisability Darflen offers. Vote for me and I will advocate to introduce new themes such as darf theme, and high contrast themes, as well as more customisability such as custom fonts and more! ✅ Secondly, I have noticed that the Darflen moderation system is not exactly very good. I have noticed many accounts that should be banned and are not, as well as many flaws in the moderation system. Vote for me and I will help clean up darflen of spam accounts and ban evaders, all while promoting better moderation! ✅ Thirdly, I have noticed a few users specifically requesting a tumbleweed to be assigned mayor. If that is you, then I don't see why not to vote me! And if it isn't you, consider this: wouldn't you want a tumbleweed as mayor of Darflen? ✅ Finally, I have a lot of experience as a mayor, as I have mentioned previously. Being a mayor earlier, I know that it is a hard role, requiring constant effort, and I know that most of the darfriends that have already applied for the mayor role will likely not be able to handle the responsibility it entails. Vote for me and I will not let you down!
